The older I get the more I notice when people pass. It becomes more real to me that we are not guaranteed another day! So we have to make the most of each day. This is a great quote I heard from my friend. I am not sure if it is his original quote but it is a good one.
“TODAY IS THE OLDEST YOU'VE EVER BEEN; YET THE YOUNGEST YOU'LL EVER BE, SO ENJOY THIS DAY WHILE IT LASTS and SQUEEZE EVERY DROP OUT OF IT”. Dick Ivey
IF you follow some of my posts you know I believe in personal growth and development. I believe we cannot not only change our environment, but we can help change others and make the world a better place. So bottom line as we get older we should continually be getting better! However, if we lose or miss the most important things along the way what is it all worth? The personal growth should be happening to improve our lives which includes BALANCE. Such a difficult thing at times. We are only given so many days so don’t waste it on things that are not important.. I enjoy vegging in front of the TV and being entertained, watching a good movie, or just not doing anything at times, but it is not what I focus or what I look forward to daily.
What will give you the greatest joy, greatest feelings of fulfillment and generate love in your heart will be the intentional times you spend with your spouse, kids and closest friends. I am focused on creating an atmosphere where my wife and my children want to be with me. Where my friends say “ Here Comes Scott!! “ not “ here comes Scott lets go the other way”. My goal in the coming years is to create balance, create fun, create love and enjoy the Best Years of my Life with the people I love the most!!
