Apologize & Forgive = Happiness

The quote you see in the caption is from Tommy Tenney and its a great quote. If there is one thing I have learned over the last 5 decade’s it is way better to apologize quickly and forgive wrongs swiftly then to carry around anger and bitterness. What I have said literally hundreds of times “Who wants to be judged on their worst day?” I know that I don’t want to be judged on some of my worst days and so glad I was given grace by my friends and family. Here is what I know if you carry around unforgiveness and remain bitter over an offense it’s like drinking poison and hoping it kills the other person!! There is a ton of medical data regarding what this does to you physically which is a supernatural correlation to your body. Literally unforgiveness will take you to the grave early! The bible says in Proverbs 9:11 “A person’s wisdom yields patience, it is to one’s glory to overlook offense.” It also says in Ecclesiastes 7:9 “Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger lands in the laps of fools.” And one more in Ephesians 4:31,32 “Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” In summary I have been able to be extremely happy in life by being quick to apologize, quick to ask for forgiveness, quick to not judge others. Remember you do things that you think are right that offend others…it’s your filter. My posture is to go low. What that means is to bend my knees and ask for mercy. It will bring you joy and happiness in life when you can lay down your pride and give up your right to be right!!! Remember the equation is Apologize & Forgive = Happiness!
