The older I get the more I understand how important my faith in God is to my life, my family and friends. Believing what the bible says and following it the best I can is central to success in my life! Its is the reason I met Darlene Unclebach and have an amazing wife of 33 years. Its the reason my children Brittany Lashua Garrett Unclebach are stable, confident and successful! Its the key reason I have great friends. You can say what you want, but what I can tell you is even scientific study backs up what I am saying. There was a study out from Vanderbilt sited yesterday that going to church weekly "decreases" you chance of unexpected death by 55%. Now just going to church does not mean you believe in God, but it sure puts you in the right place to hear, learn, gain support from other like minded people. Here is a great quote by Philosopher Etienne Gilson, "There still remains only God to protect man against man. Either we will serve him in spirit and in truth or we shall enslave ourselves ceaselessly, more and more, to the monstrous idol that we have made with our own hands to our own image and likeness." So my final thought is what are you chasing? There is certainly nothing wrong with money or desiring success financially because there is so much you can do with money, but it needs to be partnered with success with your spouse, kids, family and friends. Make sure its not just about YOU or it will be a painful lonely life!!
