Make the most of summer...

Make the most of summer!! For many people it brings on the memories of no school, adventures, camp, and family trips. Even after decades I can still remember many summer events when I was a child and trips with my own children to the beach and mountains. What is on my mind today is inspired by a short 4 day family trip we took last week. If you don't know my children are adults and we have bonus kids (spouses) that add allot to our family. It is challenging to get everyone's schedule coordinated, but worth the effort. So glad they still want to hang with Mom & Dad! Making the most of summer is not about summer it is about spending time with people you love! Family of origin and family of choice. It does not have to be expensive or elaborate. Some of my best memories are road trips to Colorado, Grand Canyon, etc. with my kids. It doesn't matter how many stops you make to go to the restroom! We loved making things up as we went along. Maybe stop and tour a cave, or take pictures at the worlds largest bug, or stop at the historical markers. Most importantly don't be in a hurry and have fun!!

Taking time to have conversation with your children can be life changing literally. These memories you make will be the "GOLD" in your family that everyone gets to have and use over and over again. Way more valuable than how much money you made or deal you close. Be intentional and Make the Most of Your Summer!!!
