The Most Important Things

“You act like you are going to live forever so you are wasting time!” Erwin McManus Well that quote was not a wake up call, but a wake up reminder! I try to live my life seizing the moments as they come and creating moments to seize in the future! However, I know I am guilty of getting caught in the middle of life, business and the desires to achieve, win & conquer. All which if not balanced properly can get in the way of the most important things in life that essentially means wasted time. Here is my quick list. I suggest you make your list and add them to your “core values” which means the things that matter most to you.

1. God first lifestyle: For me this means all activities lead myself and others to understanding we are God made and without him we have no future. So do things that make an impact.

2. Family of choice: Now this message can get confusing, but I chose my wife Darlene who was not part of the Unclebach family prior to the wedding. I choose my children and love my children, but what is really cool is they choose me too which makes for a great family. I choose my friends which are as close as my family! Here is an example my brother Mike is my friend, my other brother is not involved in our life. We are not family of choice.

3. Helping others succeed: It has been a passion for me for many years to help others succeed. Whatever that means. Their relationship with God ( refer to #1 core value ) is my highest priority and then succeed in marriage, family of choice, and business.

4. Have Fun! : This is something I am still learning to do. So important to enjoy the journey. If you are not happy and having fun find a life that makes you happy! I am not talking about life issues. Sickness and death are part of this fallen world. I am talking about finding a career (what we spend most of our life doing) that you really like and enjoy.

We are not going to live forever so make the most of it!
