Every Day Matters.

Have you ever noticed how much is going on every day. What I mean by that is stuff that matters in all of our lives or certainly seems important. We are working on our careers, helping our children, attending events, taking care of our elders, trying to close the big deal, working on building our network, trying to create some margin for fun like a vacation or a hobby. What we must do is determine what does matter? It is so easy to get in the busy flow of life and not really focus on the main things. So don’t get me wrong, we all do things that have to be done every week. My point is as I get older I can now look back on my life and see the rabbit trails and see the path of success. I am not talking about just money, which is important, I am talking about things that are pieces of the tapestry of your legacy.

This all centers on the lives we effect along the way. Are we pointing them to the Kingdom of God? This starts with who are closest to, your spouse, your children, your close friends. Is the life your leading, the example you are setting, your actions toward others really having any impact? The single most important thing in my life right now is my spouse and children. How is my relationship with them? Do we communicate well and set an environment to communicate? Does my life provide an example they can follow? Do I create an atmosphere they want to be around? I think you see where I am going... I see so many people, in all financial classes, who are disconnected from their spouse or their kids or sometimes both! Money cannot purchase what I am talking about. You are the only person who can create every day and work on what matters! I would encourage you to take a few minutes and really think about this and give yourself a grade on the “Matters Scale”. Are you a 1 or are you working on being a 10! After you figure this out than start moving your life every day to what matters. It’s hard to make big changes fast, but easier to make small changes over time that become big changes! If you are intentional you can create a really happy life that creates an amazing legacy for you and your family!
